แอลลี่ คืออะไร

แอลลี่ หรือเอิร์คเพดส์ในชื่อวิทยาศาสตร์ Ailuropoda melanoleuca เป็นสัตว์สัตว์เลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมในตระกูลหมี ตระกูลหมีแล้วแต่กำลังภายในย่อยเป็นสัตว์ภูมิศาสตร์ อันเปรียบเสมือนกับความหมายของคำว่า "หมีขาว" ในภาษาจีน

แอลลี่มีลักษณะเด่นคือขนสั้นและหยาบ สีของขนส่วนมากเป็นสีขาว ส่วนอกงอกและห้างตาเป็นสีดำ ลักษณะต่างๆ ทำให้แอลลี่มีลักษณะเป็นพิเศษ Among different population of bears, pandas are by far the most somnolent: they sleep at least 2 hours longer than other bears, and up to 5 hours more in a 24-hour period. Although they appear docile, pandas are capable of inflicting serious bites and scratches to humans, and present risks to their keepers, particularly during mating season when the males become more aggressive.

The diet of the giant panda consists almost entirely of bamboo. Bamboo contains very little nutritional value so pandas must eat a vast amount of bamboo to get enough nutrients to survive. They eat bamboo 12 hours a day.This means they have to eat between 25 - 40kg everyday to meet their energy needs. That’s equal to around 40% of their body weight!

Pandas used to live in a large area of China but now there are only around 1000 left in the wild. There are now 65 reserves that protect pandas and their habitat.

Pandas are famous for their black and white coats which make them look smart enough to be our pin-up bears, but it is believed that the main reason they are black and white is to help them hide in the snow.
