"หง" หลง (The Lost City) in English is a historical site located in Chiang Saen District, Chiang Rai Province, Thailand. It was the capital of the Lanna Kingdom during the 13th century.
The city was established by King Mengrai, the founder of the Lanna Kingdom, in 1296. It served as the capital city until 1338 when it was relocated to its present-day location in Chiang Mai.
The Lost City was an important cultural and economic center during its time. It was a hub for trade and was known for its strategic location along the Mekong River. The city was heavily fortified with walls and moats to protect against invasions.
